Bamboo Technology

It's not just the oil and energy companies that are concerned for the environment, but also the technology industry. Companies like Apple have quickly improved their image by using arsenic-free glass and not using Brominated Flame Retardants, mercy and polyvinylchloride (PVC), but others have gone an extra mile. Asus features not only a bamboo case for laptops, but recycled plastic components and no paints, sprays or electroplating. Dell also showed off a bamboo casing in 2008. The computer itself is 81% smaller than most desktops and uses 70% less energy.

Even if the product is not literally made of bamboo, companies like Wacom have associated the word with their newest tablet, Bamboo. Released in September 2009, this tablet allows for greater precision in drawings and sketches due to the pressure-sensitive pen. There are also four different options of Bamboo to choose, from just the tablet to the tablet and the pen. It is no coincidence that Wacom chose to use Bamboo for their newest creation. The name suggests simplicity, flexibility and durability of use. All things the Bamboo offers.
